Release Notes 26.2 IDL Konsis, IDL Forecast, and IDL Xlslink

General Notes

About This Release

This documentation describes the changes in IDL Konsis, IDL Forecast, and IDL Xlslink compared to Release 26.1. The minimum requirement for installing this version is the installation of Release 26.1.

The previously released fixpacks are included.

With this release, maintenance for the 25.1 release ends.

Data Backup

Before installation, please make a backup of your database(s) and check it to protect against data loss.

Migration

After installation, the release migration for IDL Konsis / IDL Forecast must always be performed first. After logging in, start the release migration via <Start migration now> in the message window. A restart is not necessary, all applications are available afterwards.

You can find the protocol of the migration under the short word RLSUPG (right-click on the corresponding migration).

If the migration is not started in this manner, e.g., because the logged-in user lacks authorization, the call of other applications is blocked. The only exceptions are the applications for maintaining the authorization data if the logged-in user does not have authorization to execute the migration due to the use of individual authorization groups. After manual execution of the migration, IDL Konsis / IDL Forecast must be restarted.

Documentation

In the subdirectory Doku\Release you will find the following documentations:

  • Technical Installation Instructions
  • Operational Installation Instructions
  • Release Notes

For the currently valid "Hard and Software Requirements", please refer to the Customer Portal https://help.insightsoftware.com/s/article/IDL-Hard-and-Software-Requirements (prior login required).

Security

TLS 1.3 has been used as the communication protocol between the client and the application server for some time now. Perfect Forward Secrecy makes it even more difficult to decrypt the connection at a later date.

An unrestricted file upload issue identified in the 2025 penetration test has been fixed.

Technical Information

To enable "Web Client (Streaming)" please start configure.exe on your Application Server and go to the Common Configuration Section. After services have been restarted you could access IDL Konsis with your Browser at your individual URL followed by https://myIDLKonsisAppServer/webswing-server/konsis/

The Desktop Client and the Launcher deliver the used JRE (Java Runtime Environment) in the installation directory, so that no separate installation is necessary.

Java 21 has been used since release 25.4.

The business runtime environment included in this release is limited until 01.03.2029 and must be renewed from this date at the latest.

Important: The license for the business runtime environment of release 24.1 expires on 1 March 2027. Please ensure that you update your installations with older releases (prior to release 24.1) to at least version 24.1 before the end of this year.

Discontinuation of Support for Oracle Databases

Important:

Support for Oracle as a database system ended on December 31, 2025. Previously published releases of IDL Konsis support Oracle Database until their respective end of support (longest IDL Konsis 25.1 until June 2026).

Oracle is no longer supported as a database system in IDL Konsis from version 26.1 onwards.

Please contact our support team to plan the migration of your database(s) to MS SQL Server.

External Libraries

Numerous external libraries have been updated.

The Bootstrap library used for the mini portal and admin pages has been updated due to the end-of-life of the previous version.

Migration to Hibernate 7 has been further prepared.

Webadmin

The new WebAdmin page has been set as the default. When web administration is accessed, the user is now redirected to the login page first instead of showing a Basic Auth dialog.

OBDF

SAP conversion groups (K070) are now applied during the OBDF import into the I-table and not only during final processing.

The default mapping "#KEY" for data types without an SAP equivalent now works as intended during the OBDF import and takes the value from the selection bar.

When importing an Angles Business View, the schema metadata query is now executed immediately with a Refresh header. Changes in Angles are therefore visible without a 24-hour wait.

IDL Konsis

Menu Authorization

The following menu items have been disabled with this release, as they have already been replaced by other applications in this release or previous releases. The menu items will be deleted in a subsequent release. Until then, please remove all individual uses (authorizations, menu structures) of these menu items:

  • None

Master and Structural Data

DEF Applications

A dependent table in DEF applications (e.g. REPCLDFN) was not refreshed when an entry was created in a new, initially hidden column via the wizard. The issue has been resolved.

In the table of open tasks, an additional column now shows the message number.

Chart of Account Definition (COADFN)

The performance of the group account choice dialog in the account wizard has been improved. Previously, opening the dialog took three to four times as long as opening the chart of accounts directly in COADFN, despite loading the same data.

The performance when deleting accounts and entire charts of accounts has been significantly improved by adding database indexes.

The restrictions in the group account choice dialog have been relaxed. Previously, only group accounts with the same IC flag and the same transaction development were offered for selection.

IC Company and IC Business Unit are now inherited when accounts are aggregated.

An issue has been fixed where IC flags could not be removed from a company account when the assigned group account carries the I/A attribute.

The display width of combo boxes in the selection area has been increased so that labels are fully readable.

Error messages in the account group table are now more meaningful when an account cannot be deleted because further references exist.

Account Analysis (ACCANA)

The new application ACCANA is used to analyze charts of accounts and accounts, and serves as a complement to application COADFN.

Group Definition (GRPDFN)

Missing GUI locks in GRPDFN have been added. Waiting animations are now displayed when opening a group and when changing the period.

Chart of Position Definition (POSDFN)

The mapping of accounts with account flag E, F or G is now only permitted for valid balance sheet/profit and loss codes of the position.

The context menu in the third tab (read-only area) has been cleaned up. Misleading actions such as edit or copy have been removed.

In the second tab of POSDFN, all columns are now displayed when the "Table cells editable" function is activated.

The "Table cells editable" function is now correctly locked in the third tab (Account/Position assignments) for locked periods.

Report Definition (REPDFN)

In the REPDFN application, entire areas of already defined report lines can now be duplicated while retaining the existing structure.

Transaction Development Definition (TRNDEVDFN)

When copying posting keys from one transaction development to another, the "Valid From" and "Valid To" fields are now adjusted to the new transaction development.

An incorrect application abbreviation for 'Acquisition' (ACQ instead of AQC) in the English user interface has been corrected.

User Settings (STUPDT / STUPDTATH)

A change of the display language in STUPDT or STUPDTATH now takes effect in all Java applications without restarting IDL Konsis.

Import

Import Performance

The import performance for large volumes of data (account balances, IC balances, development transactions) has been improved and is back to the level before release 25.1.

Company Financial Statements

Automatic Rule-Based Postings

The automatic rule-based postings function now also supports the creation of EU vouchers (elimination reclassifications).

Exchange Rates (FXRTE)

The startup time of the exchange rate application has been improved. The group currency is now retrieved more efficiently, resulting in significantly shorter loading times especially for data types without a defined group currency.

Consolidation

Voucher Definition (VCHPSTR)

Settings for deferred taxes and minority interests from the consolidation parameters (GRPSUBEX) are now taken into account when generating consolidation postings via posting rules (function MB).

Generation of Consolidation Postings (GENKONBELB)

The validation module is now called during generation of consolidation postings even when no new voucher is written. Previously, FF and LT flags disappeared when the generation was executed again.

Consolidation Postings (CNSPST)

The performance when displaying consolidation postings with the "with sub-groups" option enabled has been improved.

When importing consolidation postings, local currency values are now correctly imported.

Comments on consolidation postings can now be viewed from previous periods via the viewer using the F12 key combination (carry forward from previous period).

Depreciation Variance Message

Message KON0476 is now output only for consolidation entries (KA) and no longer includes totals from individual financial statements.

Reporting

Account Balances Report (REPACBAL)

The new REPACBAL application has been introduced. It allows report positions with associated accounts and their balances to be displayed in an expandable table. The user can fill in five selection fields (company, period, fact, business unit, report ID) and load the data via a Display button.

ESG

The error message when importing the ESG conversion factor KPUFCXXX has been adapted.

The field labels in the ESG conversion factor application have been revised to avoid confusion during data entry.

IDL Xlslink

Read Function

When reading most company financial statement data using Mode M (Output Data Set), the output of table columns can now be configured using the additional “Field Definition” selection field. Here, you can select for which data/parameters a column should be displayed.

IC Account Balances

An additional column for the IC company is now available in the IDL result list (mode M) for IC account balances.

ESG Conversion Factor

The field labels in the ESG conversion factor application have been revised to avoid confusion during data entry.
